Today I was contacted by Beverly Walling, the Executive Assistant for United Hospice Foundation. She sent me all the forms I need to fill out in order to work at the camp in August. They aren’t joking around about getting me to work there. Once again, I’m excited.
Update:
I filled out all the paper work and faxed it in. Beverly confirmed that she received the fax. To work at the camp it’s required to have a tuberculosis test. So, I got injected with some medicine today to test me. Now I have to wait two days to see if my arm falls off.
ATL trip was the bestest. I brought a book, Jack Kerouac – On the Road, since we were “on the road” and also in case things ever got boring on the trip. Well, I read a whole page and a half of the book. I sat in on a United Hospice Foundation conference for Camp Cocoon. I met Fran Poole, the Executive Director of United Hospice Foundation. Shortly after making it back home I got a phone call from Fran herself. She said she would like for me to volunteer to work at the camp. The camp will be August 3 – 5 in Tallulah Falls, GA. I’m excited.
We stayed in Norcross, GA @ The La Quinta Inn. The first room we got was infested with termites and ants! Complaining got us moved to a room with a KING size bed. It would have been a shame to let a big bed go to waste… so, I had tons of fun jumping on the bed most of the night.
I had so much fun doing so, I some how achieved a higher state of being. TWICE! But the second time it was my way, with a burger king hat. and now boys and girls it’s time for the show
On the way home we stopped at Last Chance in Morrow. I bought a few books from their fine selection of thrifty items.
Jane Austen – Pride and Prejudice (HB Special Ed. & Illustrated)
C.S. Lewis – The Magician’s Nephew (HB)
Stephen King – Fire-Starter (1981 copy)
Stephen King – Salem’s Lot (1976 copy)
Nick Hornby – About a Boy
J.R.R. Tolkien – The Return of the King
Somewhere southbound on I-75, we discovered I have a huge wenis.
In Crisp County we saw a semi that had flipped. Bonus: Can you spot the dead animal in the grass?
